Winners of the 2021 CAMWS Latin Translation Contest
Emerson Latin wishes to congratulate our two Latinists on their outstanding performance this year. The translation contest is conducted by the Classical Association of the Middle West and South (CAMWS) and is open primarily to high school and university students in North America. Students are awarded for translating a challenging Latin passage with precision, substance, and style. Sung Won and Yeonwoo should especially be commended for being the only winners from Korea in a sea of American and Canadian competitors, from both traditional classical schools to esteemed public schools like Thomas Jefferson High School of Science and Technology.
