1. Introduction
These terms and conditions govern the use of tutoring services provided by Emerson Latin. By accessing or using our services, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions in full. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
2. Services Offered
Emerson Latin offers programs and courses primarily in Latin, as well as classical humanities and English reading and writing. Our services are available in small group classes and 1:1 tutorials.
3. Payment and Billing
Payment for services must be received and processed before commencement. Tuition rates are determined hourly, with rates adjusted based on the number and type of sessions enrolled. For small group classes, tuition is due before the start of each term, typically comprising 10 sessions per term. For 1:1 tutorials, tuition is due before the start of each session. Discounts may be offered for early registration, but to avail of these discount offers, full payment is required. A deposit amount of 50% of the tuition is necessary to reserve a seat, but this will not qualify for any discount.
4. Cancellation and Refunds
Customers are entitled to a refund of the remaining balance if less than half of the sessions for a given term have been completed. No refunds will be issued if more than half of the sessions have been completed. Cancellation before the start of the course may result in a 50% refund of the deposit amount. Rescheduling of sessions is subject to availability.
5. Intellectual Property
All materials and content shared during sessions are for personal use within the customer's immediate household and may not be distributed or used outside these parameters.
6. Privacy Policy
Our privacy policy outlines how we collect, store, and use personal information from users. By accessing our services, you consent to the terms of our privacy policy.
7. Liability and Disclaimers
Emerson Latin, operated as a sole proprietorship, disclaims any liability for damages arising from the use of our services. We do not provide guarantees or warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of the information provided.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Jersey, USA. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Jersey.
9. Changes to Terms
Emerson Latin reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
